Skulpturen Skibet udforsker grænsen mellem abstrakt, konkret og figurativ kunst. Skulpturen er placeret ved en skole, men er offentlig tilgængelig og kan ses hele dagen hele året.

Skibet er udført af kunstneren Harvey Martin i 1983. Martin har igennem 22 år haft ca. 350 unge i arbejdstræning på sit værksted, mange af disse unge er blevet reddet fra kriminalitet og har fået øjnene op for nogle gode værdier i livet. En af de unde udtalte til Fyens Stiftstidende at "Det er et kanongodt sted, for vi er her ikke for at sidde på vores røv. Vi får virkelig lært noget af det, som jeg altid gerne har villet lære. De sidste otte år har jeg bare lavet ballade, og først nu har jeg taget mig sammen"

Desværre stoppede Odense kommune samarbejdet med kunstneren i efteråret 2004.

English: The sculpture The Ship explores the boundary between abstract, concise and figurative art. The sculpture is located at a school, but is publicly accessible and can be seen all day all year round.

The ship was made by the artist Harvey Martin in 1983.
