Leytonstone Fire Station - Firehouses on Waymarking.com

This is a modern fire station that opened in February 2016 after a complete rebuilding on the site of the former fire station. It was part of a £50 million-plus investment in new fire station infrastructure across London at that time under a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) deal. Its predecessor fire station had stood on this site since 1911 and was demolished in 2014. During the rebuilding period, emergency services to the area were covered from Leyton Fire Station.

There are three vehicle bays, each of which is larger than the two bays of the old building. The building also contains a gym, a kitchen and dining area, offices, meeting and study rooms. To the rear is a four storey training tower. The main building is of two storeys and incorporates the two faces of the clock which adorned the earlier building.
