The St. James Church was built in 1889. Built using brick and courses of stone creates a unique banding of the side mounted steeple.
There are multiple vertical windows at different levels that have utilized stone in the arches as well as brick.
The original steeple was 60' but removed after several lightning strikes in 1958. The reconstructed tower has a flattened hip roof with a large cross.
