Bij de Uniebrug aan de Brugsesteenweg (de weg naar Mannekensvere) staan twee gedenktekens. De stoere soldaat van het zevende linieregiment, op de linkeroever, herinnert sinds 1932 aan de doden tijdens de slag aan de IJzer (oktober 1914) en het gevecht bij Lombardsijde (november 1914). Het monument voor het veertiende linieregiment staat op de oever waar het regiment 900 man verloor tussen 22 en 24 oktober 1914.

At the Uniebrug on the Brugsesteenweg (the road to Mannekensvere) there are two memorials. The tough soldier of the seventh line regiment, on the left bank, has been reminding of the dead since 1932 during the Battle of the Iron (October 1914) and the battle of Lombardy (November 1914). The monument to the fourteenth line regiment stands on the shore where the regiment lost 900 men between 22 and 24 October 1914.
