Deze site wil een sobere herdenking zijn aan de locale gebeurtenissen tijdens WO I. 104 gelijkaardige blokken in beton zijn in een welbepaald ritme in het perceel gelegd. De blokken vormen getallen die verwijzen naar begin en eind datum van de grote oorlog.Er is gekozen voor beton omdat dit tijdens de oorlog gebruikt werd voor beschermende constructies. het kunstwerk verwijst ook nog naar houten loopbruggen welke tijdens de oorlog natte drassige plekken overbrugden.Het kunstwerk is van de hand van Luc Coeman.

This site wants to be a sober commemoration of the local events during World War I. 104 similar blocks in concrete have been laid in the plot in a certain rhythm. The blocks form numbers that refer to the beginning and end dates of the great war. Concrete was chosen because it was used for protective structures during the war. the artwork also refers to wooden walkways that bridged wet soggy places during the war. The artwork is by Luc Coeman.
