De prachtige monumentale boerderij Zorgwijk aan de Lekdijk te Jaarsveld, verbindt de levensverhalen van de familie Morgan en de familie De Leeuw. Vijf generaties van beide families vonden hier een veilige haven. Zoals de naam al zegt, ‘Zorgwijk’: de zorgen zijn geweken.
In 1921 begon de eerste De Leeuw te boeren op Zorgwijk, toen nog als pachter. Zijn zoon Hannes kocht de boerderij in de jaren zestig van Femma de Groot en Gerardus van der Plas. Daarna
namen Hannes’ zoon Ton en zijn vrouw Marry het over en tegenwoordig boeren hier Hans en Albertine. Hun zoons Daan en Dennis vormen de vijfde generatie De Leeuw die op de boerderij wonen. Genoemde Femma van der Plas-de Groot behoort tot de vijfde generatie van het geslacht Morgan die op Zorgwijk woonden. Willem Morgan kocht de boerderij op 24 november 1798 van Maria van Leeuwen, weduwe van Maarten Schoonderwoerd.
Willem bouwt een mooi hek bij de inrit vanaf de dijk. De hekpalen worden getooid met zelf ontworpen wapenschilden. Centraal staat een boom, als teken voor een nieuw begin en de hoop op vruchtbaarheid van het land. De 7 sterren verwijzen naar het geloof en de hand met het zwaard zou het teken zijn dat de
strijd is gestreden. Dit is bekroond met een gouden kroon voor een gelukkig en welvarend leven. De palen met de schilden staan nog
steeds op hun plek als tastbare herinnering aan Willem. Tussen de hekpalen van Willem Morgan, prijkt de ijzeren verbindingsboog die Ton de Leeuw hier aanbracht. Daarin staat in ijzeren letters ‘Anno 1921 J.A. de Leeuw’. Zo zijn in deze poort de families De Leeuw en Morgan voorgoed met elkaar verbonden.

The beautiful monumental Zorgwijk farm on the Lekdijk in Jaarsveld, connects the life stories of the Morgan family and the De Leeuw family. Five generations of both families found a safe haven here. As the name says, "Zorgwijk": the worries have disappeared.
In 1921 the first De Leeuw started farming on Zorgwijk, then still as a tenant. His son Hannes bought the farm in the 1960s from Femma de Groot and Gerardus van der Plas. Afterwards
Hannes' son Ton and his wife Marry took over and nowadays Hans and Albertine are farmers here. Their sons Daan and Dennis are the fifth De Leeuw generation who live on the farm. The mentioned Femma van der Plas-de Groot belongs to the fifth generation of the Morgan family who lived on Zorgwijk. Willem Morgan bought the farm on November 24, 1798 from Maria van Leeuwen, widow of Maarten Schoonderwoerd.
Willem builds a nice fence at the entrance from the dike. The fence posts are adorned with self-designed coats of arms. In the center is a tree, as a sign for a new beginning and the hope for the fertility of the land. The 7 stars refer to faith and the hand with the sword would be the sign that the
battle is fought. This has been crowned with a golden crown for a happy and prosperous life. The posts with the shields are still standing always in place as a tangible reminder of Willem. Between the fence posts of Willem Morgan is the iron connecting arch that Ton de Leeuw made here. It says in iron letters "Anno 1921 J.A. the lion'. In this gate, the De Leeuw and Morgan families are forever linked.
