The two markers each bear the inscription of their parish as follows: The stone to the left is inscribed ‘No. 129 - 1896 / B. St. L. / W B CUSTARD / R R BROWN / J A PERRY / F HAMMOND / F R THURSTON / S H RAWLEY / W M MEAD - VESTRY CLERK’. This shows that it is number 129 in the series, placed in 1896. The named individuals will have been members of the Vestry at that time. The stone to the right is a lot more difficult to read. It has a date, which is probably also 1896. The letters ‘M. E. O. T’ then appear, standing for Mile End Old Town. This is followed by the names of a Church Warden and others, but unfortunately they have become illegible.
Type of survey mark: Stone tablet.
