Just northwest of the town of Burkittsville, Maryland on Gapland Road between the red bard and Mountain Church Road is a gravity hill. Some suggest to face uphill and and some say to face downhill, either way it is quite an experience and depending on where you stop you can move up to 500 feet. Do note that at the top of the mountain is Gapland State park and the Appalachian Trail so expect traffic on the weekends and nice days. Nighttime is always an option, but consider safety no matter what you do here.
