This location is along the Norfolk Southern Mainline Harrisburg to Pittsburgh. There is a gravel parking area on the east side of the tracks which sits just below grade. On the west side there is a shale bank that parallels the tracks that places you at different levels in relation to the trains. The trains sometimes stop here to wait for extra locomotives to assist the train up the long grade of the Allegheny Slope.
