Lion as a symbol of bravery and a Czech heraldic animal dominates the WWI Memorial dedicated by citizens of small village Rožnov near Jaromer (East Bohemia) to their 9 fellow-citizens killed on various battlefield of World War I. After WW II one name was added to the list of the victims. The monument was unveiled on October 30, 1920. The engraved names are following:
