Carderock is a popular climbing spot for the DC area. It is easily accessible from the beltway and parking is within a a tenth of a mile to climbing spots. Both upper and lower sections are accessible to climbers so set up is easy. Difficulty of climbs range from beginner to expert so there is something for everyone. There are also places to just boulder.
There are always available rock climbing classes to learn how to climb here so a quick search will get you started if you are new to the sport.
