[FIN] Hjorten on historiallinen jugend-tyylinen asuinrakennus Turussa II kaupunginosassa, Vartiovuorenmäen kupeessa. Se on valmistunut vuonna 1904, ja sen suunnittelusta vastasi arkkitehti Frithiof Strandell. Hjortenin esikuvia olivat Turun linna ja Ruissalossa sijaitsevat huvilarakennukset. Rakennusta laajennettiin pian osalla, joka sai nimekseen Kalven (vasa). Talon huoneistot ovat komeita: pienin on laajuudeltaan 161 neliömetriä, suurimmat 214.

[EN] Hjorten is a historic Art Nouveau residential building in Turku's II district, next to Vartiovuorenmäki. It was completed in 1904 and was designed by architect Frithiof Strandell. Hjorten's role models were Turku Castle and villa buildings in Ruissalo. The building was soon expanded with a section called Kalven (vasa). The apartments in the house are handsome: the smallest is 161 square meters, the largest 214.
Hjorten originally did not have water toilets and was heated by 83 furnaces. The house also does not have a lift. The magnificent Art Nouveau building is one of the finest in Turku. A kantele-shaped weather vane can be found on its roof. The name Hjorten means wild deer.
