Grebes and Loons are migratory waterfowl the might be seen on the waters of the Black Moshannon State Park.

The Grebe will dive completely under water, it will taxi in order to take flight and labors with a sagging neck when in the air.

The Loon has a pointed dagger like bill, dives to feed, and flies with a hunch back appearance.

This is just one of several interpretational signs along the trail.
