Man and Nature: Changing the Landscape

The Cycle of Life Forests are endlessly renewable. At times in that cycle of renewal there are dramatic changes. The agents of change are both man and nature. This display will walk you through a forest landscape experiencing a major disturbance and beginning a new cycle of regeneration.

There are pictures and an explanation of each step.

Man and Nature: Changing the Landscape is on the South Yellowhead Hwy. between Blue River to the north (21 km) and Avola to the south (19 km.). This is a nice pullout/rest area with a "pit stop".
