EN: This elaborate amphibian tunnel site is located at the Talweiher pond system west of Anwil.

This pond complex is located on the floor of a gorge-like valley, which is up to 100 meters lower than the surrounding rather dry plateaus. The ponds were established in their present form in 1965 and were placed under nature protection in 1976. The area is now considered an amphibian spawning area of national importance. At the same time, the main access road to the villages east of the valley passes right next to the ponds.

The protection measures for the amphibians are quite extensive. Apart from the tunnel tubes, there are long concrete walls on both sides of the road and the access roads are secured with gratings over cross gutters.

Diese Weiheranlage befindet sich auf der Sohle eines schluchtartigen Tals, das sich bis zu 100 Meter tiefer als die umliegenden eher trockenen Hochebenen befindet. Die Weiher wurden in ihrer heutigen Form 1965 eingerichtet und 1976 unter Naturschutz gestellt. Die Gegend gilt heute als Amphibien-Laichgebiet von nationaler Bedeutung. Gleichzeitig führt die wichtigste Zufahrtstrasse zu den Dörfern östlich des Tals direkt neben den Weihern durch.

Die Schutzmassnahmen für die Amphibien sind ziemlich weitläufig. Ausser den Tunnelröhren gibt es lange Betonmauern an beiden Seiten der Strasse und die Zufahrtswege sind mit Gitterrosten über Querrinnen abgesichert.
