Pigeonnier du Prieuré de Laverré - Aslonnes, France - Dovecotes on Waymarking.com

[F] Ce prieuré, dont la première mention remonte au 12e siècle, est une dépendance de l'abbaye bénédictine de Nouaillé.
A la Révolution Française, il est vendu à un fermier.
Souvent revendu au cours des 19e et 20e siècles. Entouré de douves franchies par un pont de pierre, le prieuré se compose d'un corps de logis flanqué d'une tour carrée. Accolée à la tour, une tourelle en encorbellement coiffée d'un lanternon pigeonnier a disparu depuis mon passage en juin 2019.
Le domaine comprend, à l'Est, des dépendances et au Sud-Est un imposant pigeonnier.

[E] This priory, the first mention of which dates back to the 12th century, is an outbuilding of the Benedictine abbey of Nouaillé.
During the French Revolution, it was sold to a farmer.
Often resold during the 19th and 20th centuries. Surrounded by a moat crossed by a stone bridge, the priory consists of a main building flanked by a square tower. Attached to the tower, a corbelled turret topped with a dovecote lantern has disappeared since my visit in June 2019.
The field includes, in the East, outbuildings and Southeast an imposing dovecote.
