The Heusdensebrug is a concrete cable-stayed bridge and spans the river Bergsche Maas near the fortified town of Heusden. The bridge has one pylon and a series of bridges, bringing the total length of the bridge to 540 meters in spring, with a main span of 120 meters. It is therefore a relatively small cable-stayed bridge. The bridge deck is 10 meters above the Bergsche Maas. The bridge forms a connection between the Land van Altena located north of the Bergsche Maas and Heusden and the Langstraat region further south. The bridge mainly has a connecting function for regional traffic. The N267 runs over the bridge with two lanes.
The current Heusdensebrug is the second bridge at this location. The first permanent river crossing dates back to 1904 when the Bergsche Maas was dug to solve the drainage problems of the Maas.
