Déjà 40 ans d’une drôle d’histoire !
En 1975 une bande de jeunes comédiens : Martin Lamotte, Gérard Lanvin, Anémone…et d’autres construisent le lieu appelé tout d’abord « La veuve Pichard ».
Le 24 avril 1978, Martin Lamotte et Gérard Lanvin passent les clés à Christian Varini lui même comédien. C’est la naissance du Point Virgule.
En 2005 le nouveau directeur Jean Marc Dumontet fort de son expérience d’homme d’affaire et de producteur notamment de Nicolas Canteloup, Alex Lutz ou encore la comédie Scooby-doo reprend comme il aime à le dire « la plus petite des grandes salles parisiennes ».
Véritable tremplin artistique, le Point Virgule accueille chaque jour de nombreux artistes ; bon nombre d’entre eux ont fait leur début sur cette scène : Jean-Marie Bigard, Pierre Palmade, Elie Kakou, Laurent Ruquier, Chantal Ladesou, Florence Foresti, Anne Roumanoff, Stephane Guillon, Jerôme Daran, Olivier de Benoist, Mathieu Madénian…
Grâce à tous les artistes et au public toujours plus nombreux le point Virgule est ce qu’il est aujourd’hui.
