CZ: Lidská chyba zpusobila jedno z nejvetších železnicních neštestí na ceském území. Neovladatelný nákladní, plný železných ingotu, vlak 25. ledna 1964 narazil v Zákolanech na Kladensku do osobní soupravy stojící ve stanici. Výsledkem bylo 14 mrtvých a 18 zranených. Mimoto materiální škoda cinila více než dva miliony korun, pricemž zcela rozbito bylo 36 vozu, cástecne poškozeno osm, silne byly poškozeny dve lokomotivy, znicena byla výhybka, 100 metru kolejí a zabezpecovací zarízení. Doprava byla na trati obnovena 27. ledna 1964.
Na památku této neštastné události byl u místa neštestí 10. cervna 2020 po šestapadesáti letech odhalen pomník. Autorem pomníku je vnuk jedné z obetí, Martin Frind.
EN: Human error caused one of the biggest railway accidents in the Czech lands. An uncontrollable freight, full of iron ingots, the train crashed into a passenger car standing in the station on 25 January 1964 in Zákolany in the Kladno region. The result was 14 dead and 18 injured. In addition, the material damage amounted to more than two million crowns, with 36 cars completely broken down, eight partially damaged, two locomotives severely damaged, a switch, 100 meters of tracks and security equipment destroyed. Traffic was resumed on the line on January 27, 1964.
A memorial was unveiled at the site of the disaster on June 10, 2020, after 56 years, in memory of this unfortunate event. The author of the monument is the grandson of one of the victims, Martin Frind.
