Once you enjoy the taste of this delicious, sweet and salty treat, you’ll soon understand how our humble cookie shop in the beach town of Cayucos, California, made a name for itself nationwide.

The Original Brown Butter Sea Salt Cookie was first introduced at our small specialty food shop in Cayucos. In December of 2008, we launched a website for the Original Brown Butter Sea Salt Cookie. The response was so positive that in January of 2009, we closed our food shop and the Brown Butter Cookie Company was born. Since then, the passion for these cookies has only continued to grow. In the fall of 2013, we opened our first boutique retail shop in downtown Paso Robles, California, right on the park in the iconic Acorn Building. Six years later, in the fall of 2019, we celebrated our 10th year in business with the opening of our second retail location. You’ll find our newest shop in charming San Luis Obispo, California, right in the heart of downtown. We continue to make all of our Brown Butter Sea Salt Cookies by hand at our flagship location in Cayucos.
