"The Center for Plant Lipid Research is focused on both basic and applied aspects of research in the regulation of plant lipid metabolism. Center scientists use contemporary experimental approaches in cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular genetics to understand how lipids influence the growth and development of plants. Efforts also contribute to the discovery of new products and uses for plant derived lipids. The center provides training opportunities for undergraduates, graduate students and postdoctoral scientists in biochemistry and molecular biology."
