De route heeft een lengte van 13 kilometer en is gemarkeerd met kunststof palen met in het blauw het internationale MTB-teken (driehoek met daaronder 2 rondjes).

Startlocatie
Je kunt de route starten bij:

- Parkeerplaats Duindamseslag, Duindamseslag (Afrit 24), 2204 AM in Noordwijk
Bij restaurant "De Witte Raaf" het fietspad volgen, na ongeveer 1 kilometer loopt het fietspad omhoog, na ongeveer 40 meter rechtsaf. Hier vind je de start van het eerste deel van de route (het begin staat duidelijk aangegeven).

Omgeving
De route is gelegen in een prachtig duin- en dennengebied ten noorden van Noordwijk, het Hollands Duin. Een duinenrij die door de natuur en de mens samen is gemaakt. Wind en water vormden strand en duinen, de mensen legden aardappelakkertjes aan, wonnen water uit de duingrond en plantten bossen.

Betonnen bunkers en een golvende antitankmuur zijn tastbare overblijfselen van de Tweede Wereldoorlog. En vanaf de hoge duintoppen biedt Hollands Duin mooie vergezichten: op de bollenvelden achter de duinen, op de dorpen en natuurlijk op strand en Noordzee waarvan de branding zich al lang had laten horen.
In samenwerking met Staatsbosbeheer heeft fietsclub de Noordbikers hier een permanente mountainbikeroute gerealiseerd.

Aard van de route
De route is één lange singletrack door een prachtig duin- en dennengebied. De route is technisch vrij moeilijk. Voor beginnende mountainbikers zal het dan ook een uitdaging zijn. Elke meter roept om concentratie wat komt door snel op elkaar volgende bochten gevolgd door korte steile klimmen.

Het parcours in het duingebied bestaat in feite uit twee delen die door een stuk fietspad van ruim één kilometer aan elkaar verbonden is.

Eind 2011 is in overleg met de gemeente Noordwijkerhout een 3e traject aan de route toegevoegd. Ongeveer 1,5 kilometer behoorlijk technisch. Dit 3e deel ligt op zo'n 3 minuten fietsen vanaf het eindpunt van de route in het duingebied.
Om bij dit deel van de route te komen ga je vanaf het eindpunt linksaf en volg je het fietspad ongeveer 700 meter tot je bij de kruising uitkomt met aan de overkant StayOkay. Steek over en volg de weg omlaag en rijd ongeveer een kilometer door. De weg zal uiteindelijk naar rechts afbuigen. De start van het derde deel is in de bocht aan de overkant van de weg, duidelijk gemarkeerd met een bord.

Surroundings
The route is located in a beautiful dune and pine area north of Noordwijk, the Hollands Duin. A row of dunes created by nature and man together. Wind and water formed the beach and dunes, people planted potato fields, won water from the dune soil and planted forests.

Concrete bunkers and a wavy anti-tank wall are tangible remains of the Second World War. And from the high dune tops Hollands Duin offers beautiful views: on the bulb fields behind the dunes, on the villages and of course on the beach and North Sea, the surf of which had long been heard.
In collaboration with Staatsbosbeheer, cycling club De Noordbikers has realized a permanent mountain bike route here.

Nature of the route
The route is one long single track through a beautiful dune and pine area. The route is technically quite difficult. It will therefore be a challenge for novice mountain bikers. Every meter calls for concentration, which is due to fast consecutive turns followed by short steep climbs.

The trail in the dune area actually consists of two parts that are connected to each other by a cycle track of more than one kilometer.

At the end of 2011, a third route was added to the route in consultation with the municipality of Noordwijkerhout. About 1.5 kilometers pretty technical. This 3rd part is about 3 minutes by bike from the end point of the route in the dune area.
To reach this part of the route, turn left from the terminus and follow the cycle path for about 700 meters until you reach the intersection with StayOkay on the other side. Cross over and follow the road down and continue for about a kilometer. The road will eventually turn to the right. The start of the third part is in the bend on the other side of the road, clearly marked with a sign.
