During the summer of 1999, the OSU/OKC Butterfly Garden was built to complement the Community Garden. As the name implies, the garden is designed to provide everything necessary to sustain the lovely butterflies that call Oklahoma home. Herbs such as fennel and dill are planted to serve as hosts to the butterfly caterpillar and many beautiful flowers and shrubs that provide nectar for the adult butterfly surround them. From spring through fall, the garden is full of a wide variety of caterpillars, moths and butterflies. You can read more about the Butterfly Garden here.
