Owl and animal park de Paay has been open to the public since August 2000. The owner himself lives in a house in the park. His love for animals had already been poured into it from an early age. His father was also an avid animal lover. His preference is for owls, with the European Eagle Owl being by far the most favorite. In addition to the owl forest, there are many more special animals to be found, all collected by the owner over the years. Not really with the intention of opening to a larger audience. At the insistence of friends and acquaintances, he has decided to open his park at the weekend and by appointment. Since then there have been many visitors who have enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in the park.

The park is approximately one hectare in size and can accommodate about 78 different animal species. All animals are housed at a very short distance from the trails, so that the visitor has excellent contact with each animal. The kangaroo meadow is really special. A number of Benett Wallabies, a small type of kangaroo, live here. They roam freely in the meadow, just like the visitors, so direct contact is possible. The guinea pig meadow offers just that. During the warm spring days and summer, dozens of guinea pigs roam free and love to be petted by the visitors. Walking around among all these animals is a unique experience. The texts on the information boards with accompanying photo give you an extra piece of information.
