There are two vantage point for viewing Cohoes Falls, either close up from Falls View Park east of the parking lot on North Mohawk Street or higher up from Cohoes Falls Overlook Park at the end of School Street in Cohoes, NY.

Cohoes Falls in a block waterfall on the Mohawk River. The falls span 1,000 feet along the Mohawk River from Cohoes on the west to Waterford on the east. Cohoes Falls ise 90' high and has an average flow of 34,638 cubic feet per second. During periods of low water flow most of the falls is bare rock. When the flow is at its highest water is flowing over the entire length of the falls at a rate of 90,000 cubic feet per second.
