Shooting of FWC Officer Julian Keen - LaBelle, Florida, USA - Infamous Crime Scenes on Waymarking.com

In the early morning hours of Sunday, June 14, 2020, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Officer Julian Keen was shot and killed. Officer Keen, while off duty, was attempting to stop a hit and run suspect driving recklessly. The incident took place at the Handy #85 convenience store at State Road 78 and Nobles Road, just northwest of LaBelle.

Eliceo Hernandez, 20, was arrested Sunday and faces charges for negligent homicide in the death of FWC Officer Julian Keen Jr. (visit link)

Officer Keen was a well loved and respected member of both the LaBelle and Immokalee communities. He was a hometown hero to many. He mentored youth and a scholarship fund has been created in his name for youth wishing to pursue a career in law enforcement or crimminal science/justice.
