Lawrence Hurdle was a Revolutionary War veteran that served in the 7th Regiment of the Maryland Line. He was wounded in the battle of Camden, South Carolina on 16 August 1780. His grave is short and worn, however there is a plaque at his grave with the following text:

American Revolution Patriot (1776-1781)
Wounded in Battle of Camden, SC (AUG 16, 1780)
