Die Marx-Halle wurde 1879 begonnen und im Dezember 1880 fertiggestellt. Links und rechts des rechten Einganges wurden mehrere Anhängeringe in der Mauer befestigt. Die Halle wurde für 4.500 Rinder geplant und später auf eine Kapazität von 6.000 Rindern erweitert.
Die Anhängeringe sind einfach gehalten und zeigen Spuren von Rost. Nachdem es aber nur 14 Ringe sind, waren sie wohl nicht dafür gedacht, die Rinder damit zu fixieren, sondern die Pferde der Käufer oder Verkäufer. Interessant ist auch, dass die Ringe nicht (mehr) symmetrisch angeordnet sind. Es ist zu vermuten, dass links des Eingangs mindestens 9 Ringe waren, von denen einer vorlorenging und wenn rechts des Einganges auch so viele befestigt wurde, drei davon ebenfalls verloren gingen.
Heute wird die Marx-Halle für kulturelle Veranstaltungen genutzt.
