"They occupy the place of the old horga of the Count. Its creation dates from the year 1911, at first with the name of Park of Marquess of Figueroa. In these dates the works for their accomplishment begin, but for want of money this work is postponed and it is continued in the year 1917 thanks to the private contribution of two thousand pesetas.
The name of Jardines de Lombardero is already consolidated in 1952, although there is no official agreement to give it this name. In the session of the Corporation of July 1, 1944, mention is made of the boundaries of Betanzos Street with the Marqués de Figueroa Park."
