This flag can be found near the park on the north side of the city center on the Smulhoekjes cafeteria (fish and chips) On one of the photo's you can see the red flag of the municipality. On the left (blue/white) is also the flag of the province of Zeeland.

"The flag of Middelburg is the flag of the Dutch city and municipality of Middelburg. The flag is red in color and in the middle is the same tower that is also depicted on the municipal coat of arms.

It concerns a double tower, that is a tower with a turret on top, which is yellow in color. The gate in the middle is open. The top section of the tower has four battlements, the bottom section also has four battlements, but these four battlements continue downwards. In the middle of the tower is a round window. Four trapezoidal stones protrude from the band around the window."
