Wellston is a town located on the Turner Turnpike and Old Route 66, about 35 miles east of Oklahoma City. The fire department was formerly located in the building along with city hall on Cedar Avenue. It just recently moved to a building at 810 Hickory Avenue, on the southwest edge of the town.

The fire department is located in a one-story metal building with a slightly gabled roof. There are five overhead bays on the west side and two on the south side. The department has 20 volunteer firefighters. The emergency response location is on Cedar Avenue next to the town hall.
