The Sydenstricker Schoolhouse was built in 1928. At one time it was the center of education in the community but over time population grew and the state sponsored school programs made schoolhouses like this obsolete. Despite its closing in 1939, the schoolhouse has remained in pristine condition and is a snapshot of what school was like in the early 20th century. Currently the school is open for limited activities (see link below).
