A short walk northeast from the Parking coordinates, posted below, will bring you to a DNR information board.

The board has information and pictures of the Yellow Birch and Tamarack trees found along the shoreline of Lake Lonidaw. Information is also presented that describes the Star-nosed moles and the Massasauga Rattlesnakes that make their homes in Pokagon State Park.

In addition to flora and fauna information the sign also has information about Chief Pokagon and Kettle Hole Lakes (Also known as Kettles and Kettle Lakes).

This sign is in a state park. If you do not have an Indiana State Park Pass, a day pass can be purchase at the gatehouse as you are making your way to the Waymark.
