Der er rejst en mindesten for piloterne på stranden ved Karlsminde, lidt nord for nedstyrtningsstedet.

English: On 23 April 1944, 77 Squadron was given the task of dropping mines in the Baltic Sea, exactly at the position 54.48 N and 12.42 Ø, an area south of Møn. But bomber pilot Thompson's aircraft, LL235, never reached the Baltic Sea. The plane was shot down by a German fighter, Messerschmidt Bf-110.

A memorial stone has been erected for the pilots on the beach at Karlsminde, a little north west of the crash site.
