Originally built for the Lakemont Volunteer Fire Company as their firehouse it has found other uses over the years. At one point this building was used for a printing company, then an art studio, and is now a private residence.
The garage doors have been closed in and the building does not look much like a firehouse now.
The new firehouse is just a few blocks to the west with better access to the highways.
This old block building sits on the corner of Leslie Avenue and Parrish Street.
