"51. #68 Recruiting Barracks. 68A Sherman Rd.. 1908 C
This building is based on Quartermaster plan 194. The building is constructed of a multicolored brick unlike the rest of the post. The bricks are light to medium colors of red and brown. The limestone foundation has glass block windows inset for light in the basement. The roof is a hipped roof with asphalt shingles. St. Bernadette's Parish acquired the building in 1950 and is used as the Rectory for St. Bernadette Catholic Church. The church built an addition on the southern elevation in 1950. This addition is covered in multicolor brick to match the rest of the structure but had a large beige metal garage door facing the south. The addition was built as an attached one car garage for the clergy." ~ NRHP Nomination Form
