This Precambrian Shield rock is located near the entrance of Riverside Park in Cambridge, Ontario. The rock is described as being over one billion years old. The rock was deposited nearby in Galt by an ice age and was presented to the park by N.O. Hipel in 1920.

PLAQUE TEXT:
"THIS ROCK IS FROM THE PRECAMBRIAN SHIELD OF NORTHERN ONTARIO AND IS MORE THAN ONE BILLION YEARS OLD. IT WAS BORNE TO THIS AREA DURING THE ICE AGE, FOUND NEAR GALT AND PRESENTED TO THE PARK BY N.O. HIPEL IN 1920"
