[FR]Ce char américain Sherman M4A1 a été utilisé par la 7e division blindée lors de la bataille des Ardennes, stoppant l'avancée allemande de Sankt Vith vers Vielsalm. Cela a permis aux Américains de le fortifier ici entre-temps.
Ce char a été offert au village en 1976 et a été placé ici le 20 février 1984 après son transport depuis le dépôt allemand Grafenwohr.
En 2014, le monument a été rénové.
[EN]This American Sherman M4A1 tank was used by the 7th Armored Division during the Battle of the Bulge, stopping the German advance of Sankt Vith towards Vielsalm. This allowed the Americans to fortify it here in the meantime.
This tank was donated to the village in 1976 and was placed here on February 20, 1984 after being transported from the German depot Grafenwohr.
In 2014, the monument was renovated.
