Ingen anomali her.

English: Mysteriebakken - Mystery hill - by Dronninglund is not exactly a tourist attraction, but a strange, well-kept local secret - which, however, has been mentioned in several books and has now also reached the internet. Just something for Scully and Mulder.

In the book Mystikkens Danmark, the author Kristian Kristiansen writes about the place and reports that the laws of nature here have been put out of action. Water runs up the hill! Cars in freewheel roll uphill. Radios do not work properly, says the Chairman of Ålborg's radio amateur club, Echo Bravo. Compasses do not work either - and there is even talk of UFOs.

We had to see it with our own eyes. Arriving at the place, we were met by 6 people. We all agreed on what was downhill (the direction the white car points to the pictures). We then poured water on the road and could see that the water to our great surprise ran in the opposite direction of the car - that is, uphill !!!

Then we went to work systematically and a little more scientifically. One can not cheat science and a spirit level laid on the road revealed that the direction of the car (NE) was actually uphill, although we had no doubt that it had to be down. The compass was compared to a digital one that works via satellites. No anomaly here.

We can not explain it, but the phenomenon can probably be attributed to the shape of the terrain and is thus an optical illusion.
