In Bergen op Zoom vond ik een paar metalen sculpturen met de geschiedenis van de stad. Ze tonen ongeveer acht stadsplattegronden van 1200 tot 1918. Ik vond online echter dat het fonteinen waren die bijna permanent uit staan! Dit omdat de mensen op het naastgelegen terras anders nat worden..

Afhankelijk van hoe de wind staat, wordt deze uitgezet om te voorkomen dat de mensen op de terrassen nat worden.” En schijnbaar staat de wind deze zomer vaak verkeerd, want als wij langskomen staan ze altijd uit! De ondernemers daar rekenen er in ieder geval op, want het terras staat bijna bovenop de fonteintjes. Nu maar hopen dat de wind niet opeens draait, de fontein weer aan gaat en het water de gasten natspuit!"
