Stirling III EF 154 fra RAF 199 squadron Bomber Command skydes ned den 1/12 1943. Flyet oplyses af projektøren LUZI. Sydbatteriet afgiver i følge rapporten 40 skud mod flyet, der passerer i cirka 100 meters højde. Nordbatteriet - hvor du befinder dig nu - affyrer 39 skud. Flyet styrter i havet omkring 1500 meter fra øen i retning Frederikshavn. Ingen blandt 7 mand store besætning overlever styrtet. Kun ligene af tre, 2ndLt Carlson, Flight Sgt. Knowles og Sgt. Robotham, bliver efterfølgende fundet.

English: On December 1, 1943, an English Stirling III bomber on a mine-laying mission was shot down by anti-aircraft guns. None of the occupants survived the crash.

Stirling III EF 154 from RAF 199 squadron Bomber Command is shot down on 1/12 1943. The aircraft is illuminated by the projector LUZI. According to the report, the southern battery fires 40 shots at the plane, which passes at an altitude of approximately 100 meters. Nordbatteriet - where you are now - fires 39 shots. The plane crashes into the sea about 1500 meters from the island in the direction of Frederikshavn. None of the 7-man crew survives the crash.

Only the bodies of three, 2ndLt Carlson, Flight Sgt. Knowles and Sgt. Robotham, is subsequently found.
