Unfortunately, there is not much information to be found about this former train station.
What I did come across is that it was part of the line "Eifelquerbahn" and ran from Andernach to Gerolstein according to a wikipedia site. (visit link)
On another site tells me the line was closed in 2013.

A local I spoke to didn't tell me much but the station had been closed for a long time and the station building was now privately occupied.
The section still looks good. There are 2 railroad tracks, a little overgrown, there is still a covered seating area where you can wait for a train and the sign with the name "Ulmen" next to it is also still in perfect condition.
Standing here you still think that a train could arrive any moment and you could get on it.

In front of the station is a, fairly new, map of the town of Ulmen and on it the line and the station are still neatly marked. Why? Who knows but it has something.

After some research I did find that there are thoughts of bringing the former train stations along this route back to life. And Ulmen station is not the only one closed along this old line.
This would then have to be done with hydrogen-powered trains. (visit link)
