This memorial in Mantova, Italy commemorates several members of bomb squads who died during clearing the land mines in the area of Mantova. It's a broken stone column with the following inscription:

They sacrificed themselves so that others might live

On a small metal plaque the name of Gaetano Gorzoni, a Mantuan bomb technician, who died in Bologna, 15/02/1946, has been added later on.

Another metal plaque holds the additional information:
