CZ: "'Dul Theodor', také 'Na Kréte' nebo 'Nr. VIII', byl cernouhelný hlubinný dul v katastrálním území Pchery v kladensko-rakovnické uhelné pánvi. Dul byl vybudován Spolecností státní dráhy (dále StEG) ve Vídni v letech 1897–1902 a byl provozován do roku 1935.
V roce 1892 na návrh Vrchní horní správy v Brandýsku rozhodlo centrální reditelství StEG vybudovat v jihovýchodní cásti obce Pchery asi dva kilometry východne od jámy Ronna jámu Nr. VIII. Pred zahájením hloubení byla, po dohode se spolecností Buštehradské dráhy z 1. února 1893, ražena pruzkumná štola z dolu Ferdinand ve Cvrcovicích smerem k budoucí jáme. Ražba pruzkumné štoly probíhala od 24. kvetna 1893 do 1. brezna 1895. V letech 1895–1897 byl proveden odbornou firmou Eisenecker Breslau pruzkumný vrt.
Hloubení jámy bylo zahájeno 1. cervence 1897. Nad budoucí jámou byla vybudována drevená konstrukce, na níž byly umísteny lanovnice pro okov a prevodní kladky pro zavešení a spouštení dvou šachetních pump, které byly zavešeny nad sebou. Spodní pumpa cerpala dulní vodu druhé pumpe a ta ji precerpala na povrch. Pohon zabezpecoval vahadlový parní stroj s ozubeným prevodem a úhlovým soustrojím z roku 1842 vyrobeném v Nejdku. K težbe vyrubané horniny byl použit železný okov, který byl nejprve tažen parním stojatým vrátkem se dvema lanovými bubny a pozdeji dvouválcovým ležmým parním strojem Quillacq.
Jáma byla hloubena v kruhovém profilu o polomeru 4,9 m, byla vyzdena ostre pálenými cihlami na betonovou maltu s výstrojí z U profilu 240 mm. V jáme bylo v severní cásti lezní oddelení s žebríky, zavešenými kabely, výtlacnými pumpami a dalším potrubím. Uprostred byla dve samostatná težní oddelení, v každém dve težní klece pro dva vozíky. V jižní cásti bylo vetrné oddelení, které bylo od težního oddeleno do sebe nýtovanými fošnami. Vetrání bylo zabezpeceno vetrným komínem napojeným na komín peti parních kotlu, které vyrábely páru pro parní stroje u jámy.
V letech 1897–1898 byla postavena 1,35 km dlouhá železnicní vlecka z dolu Ronna. Do provozu byla uvedena 14. prosince 1898.
Hloubení jámy bylo ukonceno v zárí 1900 v hloubce 325,8 m. Nedokoncená stavba dolu byla v roce 1901 pojmenována po prezidentovi správní rady StEG a guvernérovi Pozemkového ústavu ve Vídni rytíri Theodoru z Taussigu. Težba byla zahájena v roce 1902.
V letech 1918–1922 byl dul pronajat spolecnosti Kamenouhelnému težarstvu v Kladne. Od roku 1923 náležel pod akciovou spolecnost Kamenouhelné doly v Kladne. Od 1. ledna 1937 byl dul majetkem Pražské železárské spolecnosti. V uzavreném dole byla snesena težní vež, ostatní budovy sloužily pro drobnou výrobu. V roce 2001 bylo provedeno definitivní zajištení jámy zásypem firmou Služby dolu Kladno."

EN: "'Mine Theodor', also 'In Crete' or 'Nr. VIII', was a deep coal mine in the cadastral area of Pchery in the Kladno-Rakovník coal basin. The mine was built by the State Railway Company (hereinafter StEG) in Vienna in 1897–1902 and was operated until 1935.
In 1892, at the suggestion of the High Administration in Brandýsek, the central headquarters of the StEG decided to build a pit Nr. VIII. Before the excavation began, after an agreement with the Buštehradské dráhy company from 1 February 1893, an exploration adit was excavated from the Ferdinand mine in Cvrcovice towards the future pit. The excavation of the exploration gallery took place from 24 May 1893 to 1 March 1895. In the years 1895–1897, an exploratory well was drilled by the specialist company Eisenecker Breslau.
The excavation of the pit began on July 1, 1897. A wooden structure was built above the future pit, on which shackles for shackles and transfer pulleys were placed for hanging and lowering two shaft pumps, which were hung on top of each other. The lower pump pumped the mine water to the second pump, which pumped it to the surface. The propulsion was provided by a rocker steam engine with a gear transmission and an angular set from 1842 manufactured in Nejdek. An iron shackle was used to mine the excavated rock, which was first pulled by a steam standing winch with two rope drums and later by a two-cylinder horizontal steam engine Quillacq.
The pit was dug in a circular profile with a radius of 4.9 m, it was lined with sharply fired bricks on concrete mortar with equipment from U profiles 240 mm. In the northern part of the pit was a climbing department with ladders, suspended cables, discharge pumps and other piping. In the middle were two separate mining compartments, each with two mining cages for two trucks. In the southern part there was a wind compartment, which was separated from the mine by riveted planks. Ventilation was provided by a wind chimney connected to the chimney of five steam boilers, which produced steam for steam engines near the pit.
In the years 1897–1898, a 1.35 km long railway siding was built from the Ronna mine. It was put into operation on December 14, 1898.
The excavation of the pit was completed in September 1900 at a depth of 325.8 m. The unfinished construction of the mine was named in 1901 after the President of the Board of StEG and the Governor of the Land Institute in Vienna, Knight Theodor of Taussig. Mining began in 1902.
In the years 1918–1922, the mine was leased to Kamenouhelné težarství in Kladno. From 1923 it belonged to the joint-stock company Kamenouhelné doly in Kladno. From January 1, 1937, the mine was the property of the Prague Iron Company. A mining tower was demolished in a closed mine, other buildings were used for small-scale production. In 2001, the pit was definitively secured by backfilling with the company Služby dolu Kladno."
