EN: The Embd-Schalb aerial cableway is located on the northwestern edge of the village. The line goes from 1416 to 1893 meters above sea level and is 731 meters long. The cable car is remotely controlled from the top station of the other aerial lift from Embd down to Kalpetran, which is about 200 meters away. There you also have to register your ride request and pay the ticket.

The gondola looks quite adventurous. It is a so-called "Niederberger Schiffli". The four seats are on the mountain side, behind them is a cargo compartment about twice as big. The whole thing is roofed with sheet metal, but there are no windows and the entrance can only be closed in a rudimentary way. Such lifts still exist a few in the Swiss Alps, but only a small part of them is used for public transport, they usually serve for agricultural access to inaccessible alpine pastures. This is also partly the case here. The list of fares includes entries for mowers and other equipment in addition to adults, children, dogs and bicycles. Animal transports (except dogs) are charged by the kilogram.

DE: Die Lufseilbahn Embd-Schalb befindet sich am Nordwestlichen Rand des Dorfes. Die Strecke führt von 1416 auf 1893 Meter über Meer und ist 731 Meter lang. Die Bahn wird von der Bergstation der anderen Seilbahn von Embd hinunter nach Kalpetran ferngesteuert, die etwa 200 Meter entfernt liegt. Dort muss man auch seinen Fahrwunsch anmelden und das Ticket bezahlen.

Die Gondel sieht ziemlich abenteuerlich aus. Es handelt sich um ein sogenanntes "Niederberger Schiffli". Die vier Sitzplätze befinden sich an der Bergseite, dahinter befindet sich ein rund doppelt so grosses Frachtabteil. Das Ganze ist mit Blech überdacht, es gibt aber keine Fensterscheiben und auch der Eingang ist nur rudimentär schliessbar. Solche Bahnen gibt es zwar noch einige in den Schweizer Alpen, aber nur ein kleiner Teil von ihnen wird für den öffentlichen Personenverkehr genutzt, sondern dient zur landwirtschaftlichen Erschliessung unzugänglicher Alpweiden. Dies ist auch hier zu einem Teil der Fall. Die Liste der Fahrpreise enthält neben Erwachsenen, Kindern, Hunden und Fahrrädern auch Einträge für Mähmaschinen und andere Geräte. Tiertransporte (ausser Hunde) werden nach Kilogramm berechnet.
