Bruchhausen ist ein kleiner Ortsteil von Unkel am Rhein, oberhalb des Ortes gelegen. Im Zentrum von Bruchhausen steht auf einer begrünten Verkehrsinsel eine alte Bergwerkslore, gefüllt mit Felsbrocken. Sie wurde im Dezember 1995 vom Heimat- und Geschichtsverein Bruchhausen aufgestellt.

In den Bergen oberhalb von Unkel und Rheinbreitbach wurden vom 16. bis 19. Jahrhundert zahlreiche Bergwerke betrieben, hauptsächlich wurde Kupfer abgebaut und aufbereitet. Bei Bruchhausen befand sich von 1668 bis 1874 die Mine "St. Marienberg", aus der diese Lore stammt. Sie wurde mit einer Informationstafel versehen und soll an die Bergwerksgeschichte des Ortes erinnern.
Bruchhausen is a small district of Unkel on the Rhine, located above the town. In the center of Bruchhausen there is an old mine cart, filled with boulders, on a green traffic island. It was set up in December 1995 by the local native and history organization of Bruchhausen.

In the mountains above Unkel and Rheinbreitbach, numerous mines were operated from the 16th to 19th centuries, mainly copper was mined and processed here. From 1668 to 1874 the mine "St. Marienberg", from which this mine cart originates, was located near Bruchhausen. It was provided with an information plaque and is intended to remind of the mining history of the place.
