A dragon carving on the grounds of South Park Lodge, Longford.
The sculpture, probably about 8ft in height, sits on an old tree stump in a rockery area of the front garden, about 4 m from the roadside. It is a scaly dragon, wings furled, its chin resting on its chest, as if asleep. Sadly it faces away from the roadside viewing point - more for enjoyment of the residents of the lodge - and its features are not clearly visible.
The lodge building was built in 1895, and is now a holiday rental home.
