DE: Vor dem Holm-Museum an der Süderholmstraße in Schleswig befindet sich eine hölzerne Stele mit mehreren geschnitzten Elementen. Zuunterst findet man das blau-gelb angemalte Wappen der Stadt, darüber findet sich der Hinweis auf den kleinen Stadtteil "Schleswig-Holm" in weiss angemalten Buchstaben und zuoberst findet sich die Figur eines Fischers, der in seiner rechten Hand einen Fisch von etwa der Körpergröße des Fischers an der hinteren Flosse hält.
Mit der Figur wird die Natur des Stadtteils Holm, der bis 1933 eine kleine Insel war, als Fischerdorf hervorgehoben, denn bereits um 1000 nach Christus lässt sich die Besiedlung des Holms nachweisen. Um 1480 erhielten die Fischer vom dänischen König Christian I. besondere Rechte, die über die Jahrhunderte bekräftigt und angepasst wurden.
Die Figur des Fischers ist etwa 80cm groß, die Stele insgesamt etwa 3m hoch, das verwendete Holz ist wetterfest lackiert worden und so ließ sich die Holzart auch wie die Antworten nach dem wann und von wem die Stele erstellt wurde, leider nicht ermitteln.

EN: In front of the Holm Museum on Süderholmstrasse in Schleswig is a wooden stele with several carved elements. At the bottom there is the blue and yellow painted coat of arms of the city, above is the reference to the small district "Schleswig-Holm" in white letters and at the top there is the figure of a fisherman with a fish about the size of his body in his right hand of the fisherman's back fin.
The figure emphasizes the nature of the district of Holm, which was a small island until 1933, as a fishing village, because the settlement of the Holm can be proven as early as 1000 AD. Around 1480 the fishermen were given special rights by the Danish King Christian I, which were reinforced and adapted over the centuries.
The figure of the fisherman is about 80cm tall, the stele is about 3m high in total, the wood used has been painted weatherproof and so the type of wood and the answers according to when and by whom the stele was created, unfortunately, could not be determined.
