The A1176 forms part of a ring road round York The river flows through the centre of the city of York. At this point it is to the north west of the city.

A public footpath follows the banks of the river and is popular with walkers, cyclists and dog walkers.

The footpath passes close to one of the concrete supports for the bridge and graffiti artists have found this to be an irresistible site for their work.

The work consists of some text but mainly an abstract picture centered round a large dice. The dice is a head with a large ear on one side and the front is smoking a cigarette - very strange indeed.
Type of Surface: Bridge
