Oliver Memorial Rose Garden is absolutely stunning, with 100s of roses on display. The rose garden was part of the City of Oliver's millennium project, completed in 2000. Near the garden is a statue of John Oliver, founder of Oliver, and a war memorial honoring those that served.
I have visited the rose garden several times and have enjoyed my time there, knowing they will be gone soon.
There is a plaque near by that reads as follows.
This Memorial Rose Garden
was completed in July 2000,
as part of a
Community initiated Millennium Project.
A list of donors is kept in
the historic Municipal Hall.
This building was constructed by the
BC Government as the
South Okanagan Land Project Office.
